Note whether the current owners have made any substantial improvements. Cosmetic changes should not be given much consideration as they rarely add value to the home equal to their costs. Items like a pool, jacuzzi or expensive floor tiles would fall into this category. Major improvements are what we are looking for. Most notably the addition of new rooms, especially bedrooms and bathroomsa.
